As students across campus are learning to adapt to online education, it’s important for faculty members to know how to keep them engaged throughout the rest of the semester—not just the first few weeks. We will discuss strategies to keep attrition rates low and engagement levels high, including the importance of communicating, using frequent low-stakes assignments and quizzes, tips for effective discussion boards, and using videos.

If you are using a device like a phone, tablet or iPad, we recommend downloading the Microsoft TEAMS app before you click on the link. There is a web version you can use if you do not have the app. You do not need a camera or microphone to attend, Q & A can be done via the chat window.
