Studio and Advanced Tools in Canvas August 12

Generic Event Image

The Studio tool in Canvas is a way for instructors to record webcam videos for quick news updates, teach entire lectures using built-in screen recording, and upload pre-recorded videos from a desktop, laptop, or mobile device. We will also explore in-depth features of Studio such as tagging videos for organization, generation captions using voice-recognition algorithms, and adding custom thumbnails for videos. Once videos are in Studio they can be added to Modules, Pages, or other portions of Canvas. Other tools covered in this session include Module Requirements and Prerequisites, using the Announcements tool for communicating with students, and creating student groups using the People option.

August 12 from 9:00-10:00 am
