In this workshop series facilitated by Drs. Corinne Schwarz, Kristi Dickey and Gina Morris, you will investigate the development of learning environments meant to reach all learners.
Upon successful completion, you will be able to:
- Define and apply an inclusive teaching mindset.
- Consider implicit biases and their potential effects on the learning environment.
Assess teaching structures shown to support student learning. - Apply inclusive teaching practices and Universal Design for Learning.
- Cultivate learning environments that are accessible for all students.
This series is appropriate for instructors wanting to deeply consider creating equitable learning environments. It is a semester-long offering; however, much of the work can be done at times convenient to your schedule.

It is appropriate for those wishing to hone the craft of university teaching and those wanting a research-informed foundation before undertaking peer mentoring. This is a six-week, fully online offering facilitated by Drs. Kristi Dickey and Gina Morris. It is structured so that you can complete the majority of work on your own schedule; however, you should expect to devote 4-6 hours per week on readings, discussions, and application tasks.
